O.K. Does the printer run off of the USB drive or the Print drive? If the USB drive, simply plug it in, if the print drive, you have to acquire a seperate adaptor for it.

I accidentally purchased a Red as a substitute of Magenta ink cartridge for my Canon mp830. When I place the Red cartridge wherever the Magenta cartridge goes, I rec’d an error message:
The following ink tank can not be acknowledged
I only want to print in Black. The printer will not function with the empty Magenta tank. Anybody know of a way to bypass this so I can print? I’d be grateful for any tips…
